Portland Textures

In Portland yesterday for a conference, I took a walk during my long lunch break to think about the presentation…and of course I had my camera with me. The weather was beautiful, the farmers market was thronged, and people were splashing in the amazing waterfall park right in the heart of downtown. But for some reason, it was the textures of buildings that captured my attention. I loved this view, particularly. Four buildings with different textures and styles, close cropped and framed to squash them together. And of course, black and white. A study of urban patterns… (1/400 sec., f/5, ISO 200)

    Thanks, Riazi.

Julie — I don’t know their names…Not that familiar with Portland. So I’ll take your word for it.

That is a fantastic picture! The modern one in the back, I believe, is Big Pink (right?) I used to work on the 40th floor with a fantastic view of Mt. Hood straight out my window.
