Layers

A beautiful sunny morning, and I find myself wandering along the shore of Budd Inlet with my camera. You know, photos of birds, the water, nature. But then, there’s also an abandoned tank-building factory nearby, essentially three oversized corrugated metal shacks. The detritus of decades of industry litter the beach: rusted metal parts, congealed slag, and this wad of layered, decaying plastic. Beautiful? No. Compelling? Yep. (1/30 sec., f/4.8, ISO 500)
