Aqua Cactus?

On a recent early morning visit to the Woodard Bay Natural Resource Conservation Area, this reflected “cactus” stood out against the color of the sky and the still, reflective water. I’ve more often shot the decaying pier and pilings in this area, but enjoy these lines just as much. To complete the scene, imagine the honking of geese and the squawking of awakening great blue herons, and you’re all set. (f/5.6, 1/800 sec., ISO 200)
