Chihuly Does Vegas

Chihuly Does VegasLas Vegas is a bizarre combination of photo-op sights and ways to lose your money. I suppose the former are intended to steer one toward the latter. But one can easily remain entertained without ever playing the video poker machines. From volcanic fountains to singing pirates to the elaborate Chinese New Year displays that were set up on my recent visit, I found plenty of free eye candy. But none of it more colorful or with more of a connection to my Pacific Northwest home than the Ballagio Hotel’s blown glass ceiling by Dale Chihuly. (f/7.1, 1/30, ISO 1400)
